About Us
Meyer’s Automotive got its start in 1980, when Phil Meyer took over his dad’s business, having worked with him throughout his high school years. At the age of 20, Phil was the manager of the family Amoco and garage.

Phil expanded the business into a full service automotive shop. He opened the current Meyer’s Automotive location in St. Louis, Missouri in 1997, which grew so fast he had to double the size of the facility just two years later. Waterloo Automotive was born in 2004 when Phil opened a second shop in Waterloo, Illinois.

Meyer’s and Waterloo now have a joint history that stretches back 28 years. In that time, both Meyer’s and Waterloo have become a part of their communities. Each service center is a member of its respective Chamber of Commerce, and both are dedicated to giving back to the communities that have supported them through service and philanthropy.
